Robb Putnam makes sculptures and electronic music in his Oakland studio. His sculptures, like his music, are made from a cacophony of sources and materials that he stitches together and recontextualizes. His work has been shown in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle and the Bay Area. He is represented by Rena Bransten Gallery and Walter Maciel Gallery in LA.

Video documentation of the installation in a narrow 18' deep and 15' high and 3' wide storage space located behind gallery walls at the Mills College Art Museum. A chewed dog toy with a motor placed inside moves slowly. A steel gate places the veiwer aprox. 10 feet from the object and impedes entrance to the tunnel-like closet space. Speakers were implanted at strategic locations within the space so that two identical field recordings being played out of synch could only be heard after stepping into the doorway.
